This lake is set in an old volcanic crater maturing well with plenty of weed beds in the summer months.
It receives next to no pressure from carp anglers, so this water could produce a new huge unknown fish.
As in the photos the banks are barren with mostly gravel and rocks making up the bottom.
Bait wise the carp will take most anything thrown at them as they have never seen a hook. Rigs need to be
simple hair rig style through fear of swallowed baits and expect fast runs too.

Head north west from Rome on the S S2 towards La Sorta. Turn off left onto the S S493.
Then turn right onto the S P5A Via Anguillerese road heading for the town of Anguillara Sabazia.

Food and drink is available at Anguillara Sabazia close to the lake, but most villages
surrounding the water such as Trevignano Romano, Grotta del Pianoro and Vicarello
has excellent inexpensive cafes an restaurants close to the water.
