Lake Posabina is situated in scenic surroundings and is a well established carp lake. Originally built in the early 60s as a reservoir for the local village of Posabina, it has been fished ever since. This lake has also been used for breeding carp for many years.
Although it doesn't have a huge amount of bank side vegetation it does hold many carp worthy of a trip. Bulgaria is one of the up and coming nation's getting into the carp scene and is looking very good for the future.
The team that run's the water understand that not everyone wants a holiday from Saturday to Saturday. So for them a week starts on your chosen day and ends on the same day the following week. The basic price does not include transport from airport to lake. This gives you the option to hire your own car or request we arrange transport for you. They supply bivvy, chair, bed chair, table, unhooking mat, landing net, weigh sling, sleeping bag, use of boat (subject to availability and at your own risk) 3 rods and reels, rod pod and 3 meals per day. All you need to take is the rigs you want to use and a camera!

Location.
Lake Posabina is situated about 2km off the main road from Sofia to Popovo. This is about a 3 hour drive from Sofia airport or 2 hours from Varna airport and 2 hours from Bucaresti (Romania).
